Certificate Requirements for Hybrid with Office 365

Hi

Planning on implementing a exchange hybrid. Customer has multiple SMTP domains within a single Exchange environment.

Initially they plan on migrating 1 SMTP domain to Office365 followed by the others at a later stage.

Im aware that UCC/SSL certificate is required for this. Although appreciate some input on how the certificate should be purchase

1. If going initially with Single SMTP domain what type of certificate should be purchased?

2. If in case going moving all SMTP domains to Office 365 at one go what type of UCC certificate should be purchased?

Appreciate some help

Thanks

If your end target is moving all multiple domains, then UCC certificate should full fill your request.

If you are moving single smtp domain, then you may need to use single domain cert for each time you migrate to o365, then replace with other domain cert for next migration

Thanks for the info,

Will a multiple domain UCC certificate be sufficient for the first scenario?or will a wild card certificate be required?

And for scenario 2, every time i plan to migrate i will need to purchase a certificate for each of its domains?

Can i not buy one single UCC certificate which will cover all my domains and then use the same certificate to migrate the rest of the domains?
