Hello,
One of my users made a complaint I haven't run into before. She makes extensive use of multiple Calendars in Outlook. Our backend is Office365 and our client is Outlook 2013. Here is what happened:
- She had an appointment set for a specific day, say the 5th with multiple recipients
- She changed the date on the appointment from the 5th to 12th
- The recipients got a modification notice in their email and accepted it
- The recipients ended up with the original appointment on the 5th and the new appointment on the 12th listed on their calendar. Most but not all recipients are external exchange environments.
- I told her to do actions like this in two steps: 1) delete the old appointment which will send out a delete notification and then 2) create a new appointment with the same recipients which should create a new appointment message. This seems to work okay.
So, my questions are:
- Should this function as she is trying to use it?
- Is there a way to keep this a single step process?
- Any ideas on doing this better?
Thanks,
Jeffery Smith
