Change Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition Product Key
Unfortunately, an MSDNexchange server product key was used duringthe original installation of Exchange 2003. I have been tasked with getting the proper license key in place. In all my searching I find that the following command can be used on Exchange 2007: set-ExchangeServer SERVERNAME -ProductKey aaaaa-aaaaa-aaaaa-aaaaa-aaaaa Is there a way to change the product key of an existing Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition installation. Or is it a case of un-installing / re-installing? TIA DeanM

Hi, Don't believe that there is an option to change the license key in exchange 2003. I would however not worry about it if the exchange server works - as long as you have the proper key it should not be a problem with the licensing authorities. Leif

Thanks for the reply Leif.... Sadly, this is going to be exported, so things like that are looked at more closely, apparently. Change of tack, how does / can one retrieve the product key of an Exchange installation? Can it be proved that the installion key doesn't match the supplied license key. Cheers DeanM
