Change calendar ownership Exchange 2003
Is there anyway that I can transfer ownership of a calendar to a new user? I copied the calendar (cut & paste) to a new user and from that users point of view all works as expected. However if I share the calendar, any client trying to view that shared calendar in outlook 2003 is told that the user (that is trying to share it) does not have a server mailbox. I suspect that the calendar still thinks it is owned by the previous owner but can't see anyway to change it. I am using Exchange Server 2003 in SBS 2003

I suspect they are attempting to open the calendar using the cached value of the old calendar.Verify that they users are picking the calendar explicitlyfrom the GAL.

It was exported to mailbox. I have found a workaround by changing the permissions for the mailbox. Not the most satisfactory solution I know but as least it gets me out of trouble for now.

Hello Alan,"the user (that is trying to share it) does not have a server mailbox"Maybethe address book has not been updated on the client. Go to tools / address book. Check the Global Address List and see if the newly created user is there. If the new user is not listed, download the address book to outlook by doing the following:Go to Tools / Send and Receive / Download Address BookCheers,Miguel Miguel Fra / Falcon ITSComputer and Network Service and Support, Miami, Fl
