Clearing Exchange 2010 AD Existence!!
Hello... If anyone has a path i can take instead of the more destructive re-domain of my smaller environment (Not out of question) but obvious a path id rather not take ;) So i loaded a trial of exchange 2010 on a 64 bit server we were demo'ing.... needles to say, we removed the server, and since now have to get a Exchange 2003 server going as i don't have a 64 bit machine available.. Found an known open issue at MS that has a problem loading 2003 after 2007 or 2010 has been installed in AD.. Any thoughts ? TIA, Mike

As James states from that linked thread. You cannot prep for a legacy version of Exchange if you haven't already and infact have at least one Server of that Exchange type still in the Org.There isn't much you can do other than build a new Active Directory, or if you have a backup and haven't put any new objects in your AD, and ideally only have the one DC perform an authoritative restore to the pre-schema state - this option has soooo many caveats though to which I point to some above that it may be easier to rebuild.OliverOliver Moazzezi | Exchange MVP, MCSA:M, MCTS:Exchange 2010, BA (Hons) Anim | http://www.exchange2007.com | http://www.exchange2010.com | http://www.cobweb.com |
