Client problem....
Hi, One of users has changed his system date and sent mails. Now the sent items folder shows that date. I want to know is it possible to change the date of the sent items to correct one using any command or any tool. Thanks.

By design the Outlook Object models security prevents modification of those properties such as the sent time; however, you can use RDO (Redemption Data Object) to create a new message, import the message you want changed, and set a date of your choice. This requires that you are familiar with programmatic access to Outlook. http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/rdo/default.htm I used this method when I needed to reverse a stubbing process caused by our archiving system on a users mailbox it wasn't supposed too. Hi, The major challenge I am facing is this that the user does not wants to move these mails to any folders. If I can archive his mails then I can save the changes in pst file using the tool MFCMapi.exe.6.0.0.1015 that I think is based on the same RDO model. Thanks.

You don't have to move the message to an archive you can access the users mailbox and do the import/save new message directly to the folder its in.Sr. Exchange Engineer - Constellation Energy

Hi Dec0der, You could use MFCMapi to modify the time one by one. So far as I know, there is no way to do it in a batch. Maybe some third party software can achieve the goal. Thanks, Elvis
