Hi, I have an issue with the System State backup in Commvault. It will lock up my system for 6-7 minutes. I have worked with Commvault support many times. They export the registry from Local Machine/Software to a Registry Hive file before the backup. This is taking 6-7 minutes. If I go into regedit and do the same export it takes just as long. I have a Dell Latitude D830, XP Pro SP3, 2 GB Memory. I have tried it on another identical system with XP Pro SP2 and the same happens. If Itry this on a different Dell system, like an Optiplex it takes about 2minutes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, JP

Hi Johan, There is no virus software running on any of the systems. I have tried the backup or export when the systems are idle and it still takes 6-7 minutes for the export portion of the hive. It seems to be centralized to the Latitude D830 and D630 laptops. These systems were built fromCD and are current with Windows updates. Every time os Commvault System State Backup is run or an export of the hive is performed it will take 6 -7 minutes on these laptops. Thanks, JP
