Company merge - impact on OAB

Hi!

We are current planning a merge of two companies and as a first step we need to create a shared address list. We will add somewhere around 500000 objects from the other company to our GAL. Any one with some ideas on how we should handle OAB traffic caused by the updates, if any? Or if is some other smart things we can do not include them in our OAB etc?
