Hello everybody,

I'm having a very annoying problem:

We have an Excel spreadsheet used by several people on the company. After some update made by Microsoft around December past, whis spreadsheet just won't work anymore and Excel shows the message:

"Compile Error in Hidden Module:Autoopen"

I tried some solutions found here and there, but no remedy for the problem. The only solution is uninstall the updates from end of Deceber 13 until now.

Can anyone help me, please ?

According to your description, your issue seems related to the Microsoft Office Security Updates for December 2014, I recommend you try the method and check if it is help:

Delete the EXD files, these extender files will be under the user's profile and may also be in other locations, such as the following: 

• %appdata%\microsoft\forms
• %temp%\excel8.0
• %temp%\word8.0
• %temp%\PPT11.0
• %temp%\vbe

Microsoft understands the position our customers are in and we are working to find a solution besides a FixIt that can be deployed to remedy the issue. If we have any update, we'll post in the forum. Thanks for your understanding.
