Conditional Formatting

Hi,

I think i maybe over complicating what I am searching for because nothing has turned up yet.

I have a spreadsheet with a column formatted as 'accounting'. Some cells have an accounting value in and others dont. Depending on if the cell has an accounting value in or not will depend on the formatting of other cells.

How do I get excel to recognise I want to format cells if another cell has an accounting value in.

The cells with no accounting value in are formatted as  '   -'

Thanks

Better if we can see an example. Assuming you are using Windows 2007 or later, look for "Snipping tool" application and pin it to the task bar.

Then with the Excel worksheet displayed, click the Snipping tool -> Select New and drag the cursor over the required area and then save the image file. Upload the file to this forum with your reply using "Insert image" icon at the top of the edit box.

Hi,

If You use a formula, select first cell with Accounting format.
