Hello, this quesion actually came from a student of mine.  I am unsure if I am baffled because of the question or the way it was presented.

Attempting to apply Conditional Formatting to a large excel sheet which will increase in size each month.  After weighing my options between ACL, VLookup and a Pivot table, Ive chosen to work with a Pivot table which will allow me greater freedom to move things around easily.  Ultimately I want to have any cell in column B, conditionally formatted with the corresponding name in column A.  In other words if column B says YES or campus verified, I would like the name in column A associated with it, to be highlighted in green.

Based on your description, you want to format the data in a pivot table without losing formatting when add data into worksheet every month. I suppose you can create conditional formatting rules in pivot table with IF formula to help you, but Im not sure if my understanding is correct.

If possible could you provide me a sample about your problem via OneDrive? Or you could be a bit more precise explain your problem so that we can get more accurate solutions to this problem.
