Configuration Updates Constantly
We are running Exchange 2007 SP1. On both of my CAS and HUB Transport boxes i recently noticed that configurations for transport,OWA, and antispam have been occuring every minute. This seems to be affecting queue processing and some slowness with OWA. In the application event log we are getting constant informational events from MSExchange OWA - Event 63, MSExchange Antispam -Event 300, MSExchangeTransport - Event 16002.Looking back through the event logs i can see that this started a few days ago and before that it would only happen a few times a day, which would be normal. If anybody has any ideas on what tolook at, or on how to fix this, i would greatly appreciate the help.Thanks.

Hi, Please run ExBPA to have a health check , and let us know the result. Meanwhile, please try dcdiag/netdiag to see if there is some AD issue. After a research, I think it could be a AD problem. Dcdiag Overview http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/library/f7396ad6-0baa-4e66-8d18-17f83c5e4e6c1033.mspx?mfr=true Netdiag Overview http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/cf4926db-87ea-4f7a-9806-0b54e1c00a771033.mspx?mfr=true You also can try to restart the Hub server to see the result. Are there any other issues of Exchange besides OWA slowness? Thanks, Elvis The Microsoft Exchange Team Blog - You had me at EHLO - http://msexchangeteam.com/

Hello,Thanks for your reply. After doing some more debugging i turned up these error messages that are happening just as freqeuntly as the configurations being reloaded:'Process MSExchangeFDS.exe (PID=2704). Triggering condition Active Directory notification from the object. received, adding Read Configuration task to queue.'These are eventid 1025. We have started looking at AD and the dcdiag and netdiag didn't immediately allude to any problems but we're still tweaking them.Is there any specific area of AD we can look into? what would AD be doing to cause the exchange configs to be updated constantly? replication maybe?Besides the OWA slowness we have the mapidelivery queues filling up then getting processed all at once and we can't remove messages from the queues. The messages aren't being removed after they've expired either, after the two day timeout. Could all of this be related? Thanks for any additional information.Ryan

Another note:We are also receiving a bunch of informational messages eventid 9661 on our mailbox cluster boxes referencing that the "Unsolicited commercial email default filter level has been updated. the new value is 8". Where are these messages coming from and how can we stop it?Thanks.
