Configuring Autodiscover in Resource forest
Hi Team, Need your help on Autodiscover configration for Resource forest. Scenario ======== 1. Our mailboxes are in Resource forest and AD account are in another forest which is the Account forest. 2. When Outlook clients connect, it talks to the local AD to get authenticated and connects to Exchange 2010 Servers in Resource forest. 3. Since the user machines are in account forest, the Autodiscover using SCP does not work. 4. To make this working, I have exported the Autodiscover configuration to Account forest Active Directory. 5. I could simulate only single CAS Scenario. 6. If we have multiple CAs Servers, the client query may go to any CAS server randomly. Solution Required ========= 1. Need to restrict this client query to particular CAS Servers in a location. 2. I have many CAS Servers in different Regions. Thanks in advance TTNagaraj N

To be clear, you are talking about internal Autodiscover right? Is there something preventing you from pointing autodiscover.domain.local on all your DNS servers to the CAS server you want?http://jaworskiblog.com

Hi, You can remove the unused SCP records from your Account domain and only keep one record for the correct CAS server: 1. On your account domain, open adsiedit.msc, locate the SCP records in CN=Autodiscover,CN=Protocols,CN=<CAS_SERVER>,CN=Servers,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=<ORG>,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=Fourthcoffee,DC=com 2. Remove the unused CAS servers.
