How long did you wait? Mailbox quota changes can take up to two hours to take effect.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi,there, Yes,it will take 2 hours for the quota takes effect. That is because because the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is responsible for enforcing mailbox size limits and uses a mailbox information cache to hold data on the mailbox including quota limits. The configuration change does not take effect until the cache is refreshed. The default interval for refreshing the cached mailbox information is two hours However,if you would like it takes effect in a s shorter time, you can change the refresh interval for the mailbox information cache by modifying the Reread Logon Quotas Interval value in the registry for the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service. Since the very low value may affect the performance of your Exchange server,we recommnend to set it to 20Mintues Go to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystemCreate a new DWORD value Reread Logon Quotas Interval (without the quotes) and give it a decimal value of 1200 (thats 20 minutes in seconds) Still under the key ParametersSystem create a new DWORD value Mailbox Cache Age Limit and give it a decimal value of 20. It makes sense to keep this age limit the same as the refresh interval in point 3 above.Restart the Exchange IS. Note:Make sure you have bakcup the registry before you change it.
