Connect 2 Exchange servers
I currently have 2 exchange servers in mysingle domain forrest. We have recently set up atwo way transitive forest trust with another forest. Is there a way to set up some sort of routing betweenmy 2 exchange servers and the single exchange server in the other domain. The sites are connected with point to point T1's and we are trying to aleviate the need to send email via the internet between the 2 domains.

Technet article "Synchronizing multiple Exchange 2003 forests" is what you need to refer. It has a section "Configuring Mail Flow Between Forests" which addresses your specific need to route mails between two organizations.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123590(EXCHG.65).aspxIf you don't need all cross forest functionality, you can simply create SMTP connector for given address space and forward all mails to smarthost (Exchange server on other side). I set up an SMTP conector in both domains. Is there any way that I can verify that mail is routing directly from server to server and not via the internet?

Hi,You can view the message header information in the message. That will record whether the email is transmitted through third party server.ThanksAllen
