Connected Mailboxes
I've inadvertantly connected two mailboxes to one user. Is there any way to undo it?
- Removed UserA
- Ran DB Cleanup With EMS
- Right clicked on the disconnected user, clicked "connect"
- chose existing UserB- who has a mailbox already on the system
Now, UserB can see UserB's info, but not UserA.

Hi,
>- chose existing UserB- who has a mailbox already on the system
How could you choose a user who has already had a mailbox? On my test, the user who has a mailbox will not appear in the list.
So your condition will not happen.
When you connect a disconnected mailbox to a new user, the name of the mailbox will rename to the username.
However, the value of LegacyExchangeDN is your pervious mailbox name (like
/cn=UserA)
You can use cmdlet below to search which user does the mailbox connect to.
Get-Mailbox |where {$_.LegacyExchangeDN -like "*UserA"}
