Connecting to SQL Server using Excel Online

Hi,

Is it possible to connecting to SQL Server using Excel Online?

What is 'Excel Online'?  Please see this link for several ways to use Excel & SQL Server together.

Excel Online this link takes you to the home page. Let me know if I got the name of the product right. It is Excel provided by Microsoft Office Online. I already know how to connect desktop version of Excel to SQL Server. I could not find documentation on connecting to SQL Server using Exc

WOW!!  That's hellza cool!!!  As I know, VBA doesn't work (AT ALL) with HTML, or any kind of online technologies.

Accrording to my search, you could not connect to SQL Server using Excel Online.
This issue is by design, so I suggest that you could submit feedback to Office.

Thanks, If I open Excel Online ... I see Data - Refresh Connections. Is there a way to know what this refresh connection is for? If not for SQL Server, what other connections are

It's depending on how your environment is configured, some kinds of data connections are supported for workbooks displayed in a browser window, which enables you to refresh data. I suggest you refer to this article about refreshing data in a workbook in a browser window.
