Contacts in Distribution Groups
Hello, I am running Exchange 2010 SP2 and using ABPs. The issue that I am having is that users are able to see the contacts that I create on the server side for their Address Book just fine. However, they do not see those same contacts as members of the server side created distribution groups that they are members of, only the other Exchange members are displayed. These contacts are not setup with Hide From Exchange Address List as is demonstrated by the fact that users can see those contacts within the Address Book. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are the contacts mail-enabled?Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Thanks for your reply, yes they are contacts created from within the Recipient Configuration\Mail Contact\New Mail Contact section of the management console and they have outside email addresses.

Are the users running Outlook in cached mode? Possibly they have an old copy of the offline address book and you're having a problem with it updating. Change to online mode and see if the members become visible.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Another interesting item to this issue is that if you try and access the same Distribution Groups that you can see in Outlook (Internal users only) from the OWA you get an Access is denied error when you try and view members. Thanks
