Outlook Express and Outlook, both are the email application. Outlook has many advanced features as compared to Outlook Express. If you are still using OE, then you must switch to Outlook. 

If you are worried about your mailbox items, then don't worry! You can easily convert all your files from OE to Outlook with the help of Windows Live Mail.

The post really help me a lot in making me understand the techniques used to convert DBX file to PST file but there are few manual methods available for the same. I have read another blog where i found simple steps to move DBX file into the MS Outlook PST. DBX and PST are two different types of file format which is used for email communication from one email client to another. Due to widely used application most of the time it may happen that an outlook express user need to change their DBX file into Outlook PST format. So to change the file format of DBX file into PST format, first you have to convert outlook express DBX file into PST format because Outlook doesnt support DBX format, i.e. you cannot open DBX file in Outlook. So first you have to convert your DBX files into PST format.

DBX to PST conversion is not a direct process via manual method. It is completed in two phases, given below :

1 . Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail

2. Windows Live Mail to Outlook PST file
