Create Mailbox Error
Hi All,I just did a sucessfully isntallation of a typical Exchange Deployment (HT, CAS and MB) all in one server.I did follow the wizard on the first page of Exchange management Console to create POSTMASTER mailbox named "Administrator@domain.com" but when I try to create the mailbox from "Recipient Configuration\ Mailbox" it was stopped because of this error:Summary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed.Elapsed time: 00:00:00AdministratorFailedError:The Exchange server address list service failed to respond. This could be because of an address list or email address policy configuration error.Exchange Management Shell command attempted:Enable-Mailbox -Identity 'domain.com/Users/Administrator' -Alias 'Administrator' -Database 'CN=Mailbox Database,CN=First Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=ExcServer07,CN=Servers,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=My Software House,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com'Elapsed Time: 00:00:00how do we actually create a mailbox for email send & receive ?Cheers,AWT

I just started seeing this error as well. Mine environment was functioning fine with 2007 sp1, but i applied rollup 1 for sp1 and it started kicking this error. Have you got that rollup installed? http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=945684

I"m seeing on another forum this being blamed on the date being unusual feb29, however i've not been able to validate that.

Hi Knightly, you could be right, I'll apply the hotfix and see how it goes then.that's kinda funny, the error message previously was something regarding the Permission error but then I found out it was something that has got to do with the Free space less than 4 GB.I'll let anyone know if this matter resolved.Cheers,
