I have exchange 2007 server with the latest updates. I need to know how to create a public calendar that everyone has access to. I also need to know how to delete a public folder. Thanks

WHat is the purpose of this shared calander, you can create it as resource/meting room calander which will be shared among all users. Please go thru below for more details (All 3 part): Managing Resource Mailboxes in Exchange Server 2007 (Part 1): http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/management-administration/managing-resource-mailboxes-exchange-server-2007-part1.html For delete PF , use outlook client and delete it Anil

I think that you can create a Calendar folder by using following method: 1. Launch Outlook, right click the Public folder which you would like to create Calendar Folder and click New Folder 2. Under Folder contains, please Select Calendar Items. Nevertheless, if you would like to change a normal Public Folder to a Calendar Folder, I am afraid that there is no available method.Dinesh S.

Hi Gerald, In addition to Anil’s reply, if you would like to use a shared mailbox, just caret a shared mailbox (refer to the article provided by Anil) and give the calendar read permission on all mailboxes by using Public Folder DAV-based Administration tool. For granting the read permission to all mailboxes, you may refer to the article. For download PFDAVAdmin, please see here. And if you want to use public folder, you should check out whether you have a public folder database, if you have not, please create a new public folder database in the Mailbox node under the Server Configuration first if you have not a public folder database. Otherwise, you will not see the Public Folder in the Outlook and Outlook Web Access. And then, please pay attention to the permission when you log on to Outlook or OWA. You should be an administrator, otherwise, you do not have the permission to create a public calendar.
