Create a public folder database in Exchange 2007 permissions issue
I tried to create a new public folder database but received the below error. I also saw a reference to using ADSI.msc to find out where the deny permission is located. Unfortunately I don't understand where to connect the editor nor how to use it to solve this problem. Please provide step by step instructions suitable for someone who has not used this editor. James, I used that article when I first tried to create the PF database. My Exchange Server 2007 is located on a DC running WIN2KR2. I have one other server but it is a 32 bit machine.Robert Porter

Here's the small print> Exchange 2007 SP3 provides support only for a new installation of Exchange on Windows Server 2008 R2. Exchange 2007 SP3 is not supported in an upgrade scenario on Windows Server 2008 R2. For example, Exchange 2007 SP3 does not support the following installation scenarios: A new Exchange 2007 SP3 installation on a Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer that has been upgraded from Windows Server 2008 Upgrading Exchange 2007 SP2 to Exchange 2007 SP3 on a Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer that has been upgraded from Windows Server 2008 These two bullets have kept me from doing the upgrade. I would be upgrading Exchange 2007 SP1 on a Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer that has been upgraded from Windows Server 2008. RobertRobert Porter
