Creating shared calendar as a public folder
I am using Exchange Server 2007 and have setup a calender in the default public folder. After going to Outlook 2010, I see the calendar setup however, I can't share it but only email the folder. Does anyone have any reasons why I can't share this calendar?
Can anyone show me how to share this calendar?

You don't "share" public folders.
Simply add permissions to the folder to allow other users to access it. You also cannot invite a public folder to a meeting - think of a public folder like a paper diary, which requires manual entries to be made.

Yes, you don't need to share calendar in public folder, only need grant users permission to access public folder, then users can access the calendar from public folder.

Thanks for your immediate responses, is there a better way to share a calendar. Since I am unable to overlay the calendar from the public folder with my personal calendar this is really in efficient.
I would prefer sharing a calendar through the administrator account rather than a local user account because the administrator account will never change. If you could point me in the right direction, that would help.

It appears that I can move the calendar from the public folder to the calendar section of Outlook. Is this accurate? If so, this works.

Just create a resource mailbox and share the calendar through that. Don't use the Administrator account. A resource mailbox does not use a CAL.
