Cross-forest 2003 to 2007

Hi all,

I'm having a little difficulty understanding the process to move from 2003 to 2007, cross-forest. Plenty of threads just refer to using ADMT and then using the shell to move the mailboxes. However cross forest migrations that involve 2010 use the PrepareMoveRequest script to prepare the Exchange attributes.  Do I need to fiddle around with the Exchange attributes if I use ADMT or is it as straight forward as migrating the user accounts and then moving the mailboxes? Is it possible to use PrepareMoveRequest.ps1 from 2003 to 2007. The official notes say it has to involve an Exchange 2010 server.

Thanks,
A.

That script is 2010 centric so no it cannot be re-purposed for 2003-2007.

I shake hand to Allen suggestion.

Following Exchange server deployment assistant would also be a nice approach that is available from Microsoft team and provides step-wise instructions to accomplish this task in an easier way.

If you wish to achieve the goal automatically, you may also consider on this automated solution that could be a good alternative approach in order to get this job done with no downtime.
