Cross AD site mailbox migration problem
Hello everyone.
I’m having problems migrating users from Exch2007 in site 1 to Exch2010 insite 2. The mailbox move finishes without problems but when I open Outlook 2007 it says it can’t
connect to the Exch server. When I go and look at the user Outlook profile it still has the old server name instead of the CAS array server name in site 2. So for whatever reason the Outlook profile is not updating with the new CAS array name. In AD
the user shows the correct server/mailbox. Any idea what could be the cause?

What about the user created on2010? Are they able to connect to the mailbox?

Hi,
Are you sure that AD replication has occured before you check Outlook? When moving the mailbox it updates the users attribute about mailbox location and that needs to replication before Outlook works like it should. I have seen cases where it can take up
to one hour before the user can connect again without manually reconfiguring Outlook.

Any update for your issue?
How about restart the outlook, or repair it?
Did you confirm that the client end could resolve the exchange 2010 server properly?
