Customized OWA not showing up when published through ISA
Hai all, I have an issue with my OWA. I use Exchange 2007 and i have customized my OWA as per our requirement. The Customized OWA web page works perfectly when publishing directly through my Client Access Server. But the same customized webpage doesnot show up when publishing through my MS ISA 2006. It shows up the same old page. I have tried restarting both the servers. Is there any process to overcome this issue. Thanks in advance.

You're talking about the forms-based authentication screen and not OWA themes, right? Are you using forms-based authentication on ISA? If so, ISA has its own forms-based authentication screen that you'll need to customise.Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP

Yes i am only asking about the OWA Logon and Logoff Screens and not about the OWA themes. Where does the ISA OWA Customization files exist? Do we need to follow the same process as in Exchange Client Access Server OWA? Any Microsoft Web Link that solves this issue.

Oh, and there are articles out there on modifying things manually such as this article from Brian Tirch:http://www.exchange-genie.com/2009/01/creating-custom-isa-logon-page/Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP

Did you followed the same procedure mentioned in the below article... Redirect the request to this Internal Web Server (That is Exchange)http://www.petri.co.il/configure_isa_to_publish_owa.htm

Hi,I think we need to customize the page from ISA. You can follow the steps in article below to customize the logon pageforISACustomizing HTML Forms in ISA Server 2006 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb794733.aspxRegards,Xiu

Thanks Neil for the help. Your Web link guided me in solving the issue. A small change from what was specified in the web link. It is telling to modify the files specified in HTML folder present under C:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA Server\CookieAuthTemplates\ISA. But i had to modify files present in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA Server\CookieAuthTemplates\Exchange\HTML to Customize my OWA Web Page. Because none of my Exchange OWA files of type GIF, CSS, Strings are present in the ISA folder and are present in the Exchange folder. This is the only variation from the Web Link you provided. As per my understanding, when we Publish Exchange 2007 OWA through ISA 2006, this Exchange folder gets created. And we need to modify the GIF files and the Strings file under theC:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA Server\CookieAuthTemplates\Exchange\HTML\nls\en folder to Customize the OWA Web Page when publishing through ISA Server 2006. And Customizing OWA under MS ISA is far easy compared to Customizing OWA under Exchange Client Access Server, because the number of GIF files that need to be modified are less(4 here compared to 8) and the Strings file helps you to change the Text very easily. Thanks Neil & everybody else for the help provided.
