DAGDBfailbak
Hi
We have exchange 2010 DAG with two member with MB,HUB and CAS roles each member is in separate AD site. There are four DB on each server for local site users. four DB of site1 are replicate to site2 and same site2 four DB are replicated to site1. Can we
configure DAG such that four DB of site1 always mount on sit1 exch2010 server, in case of server restart or not available then these DB of site1 exch2010 server can mount on site2 exch2010 server. and vise versa. And when ever site1 exch2010 server come up
can automatically four DB of site1 exch2010 server failback automatically to site1 exch2010 server.
Thanks

You would always want to tell Exchange to move the active databases. Your Exchange server isnt psychic. Just because it can see the other server does not mean that the link is stable or the server is sufficiently stable for you to run the stores on
it. You should always decide on the redistribution of active databases.

If the active cluster node suddenly became unavailable, the Exchange Server and any relevant cluster resources would fail over to the passive node automatically and
the end users could then continue their work. There is no automatic failback.
