I am planning to implement DAG on my local data center and on my DR site. Right now I have one CAS and one Mailbox server in my data center and now implement other mailbox server with DAG. In my mailbox five databases have been configured and I have concern if implement DAG with current databases will not impact on my running Exchange services and databases and will not get any issue on user side as well.

Please guide.

Thanks for your valuable reply. I read on blog that it would be impact on users when add new mailbox server in local data center and create DAG, the DAG name and IP will not connect on outlook user profile and show the status disconnected. But as you say it will not disrupt have calm me for implementing the solution :)

I have to plan for deployment of Exchange on DR site. At the current only one CAS and one mailbox and will install another mailbox server to configure DAG in local Data center and hope it will not disrupt any user settings that were applied on local users.

For DR point have some queries.

• Should I configure one server with CAS/Mailbox or separate servers for CAS and Mailbox
• How CAS server will be configured on DR with WNLB
• How to set the File share witness (FSW) on local Datacenter or in DR site for DAG
• What settings do need to point users on DR site
• Which entries will be required in DNS to point to DR site
• What entries would be need configure on DR Exchange CAS or CAS/Mailbox server
