DCOM Error on Startup 10016
Hi,Ihave exchange server 2003 enterprise edition running on windows server 2003 standard SP2 fully updated.everytime i reboot the server I had thebelow event logged in the system event log.Isearched the registry for this objectand found it to be the "Microsoft Exchange Property Mapping Interface", thenfound the object in component services under DCOM config. I found that"launch and activation permissions" were set to custom but no accounts were listed.Ichanged the "launch and activation permissions" back to default for this object and restarted the serverafter doing this the error no longer is displayed, so it appears i have fixed it.my question is - what is this object, what does it do?and why would it have been set to "custom" but no accounts listed for access? and have i done the right thing setting it to "default"?many thanksShazz_________________________________________________________Event Type:ErrorEvent Source:DCOMEvent Category:NoneEvent ID:10016Date:16/11/2009Time:12:09:50 PMUser:NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEMComputer:SOUTHBANKEXCHDescription:The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {9DA0E106-86CE-11D1-8699-00C04FB98036}to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18).
