Hello all, I have a strange issue today. The trading software we use provides a DDE link for direct quotes. After working for long periods of time, the spreadsheet hangs on opening and just process when its opened and never pulls the quote price. Now here's the bizarre thing, if outlook is closed the data comes up immediately. We can even then open up outlook again and it will continue to work, as long as at least 1 spreadsheet containing dde data is still open. When excel is completely closed  and outlook is still open, the problem starts all over. I'm at a loss trying to figure this out, anyone have any ideas?

Check to see whether the option "other application that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) option" is unchecked.

Also, try to repair Office to check the issue.

The other application box was already unchecked. I did go through a repair installation of office, but the issue is still occurring.
