Hello,

we're using Outlook 2010 connected to Ex07/Ex13.

A while ago one of our employees reported that an increasing number of his contacts losing the contact picture.

After some research I fond out that the cause are the notes in the contact. Every time when a note in a contact has changed and the contact has been saved the contact picture got lost. In the overview (busines card view) the picture is still visible but when opening the contact there is no picture anymore.

It is possible to add the picture anew and it is stored with the contact until the next change in the note.

Meanwhile I could verify this behavior for several User.

Has anyone experienced similar issues or know a cause or solution for it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

First of all please make sure your Office is fully updated.

I used to see this issue when KB2956128 is installed, check if you also have this kb installed. You may need to uninstall it to check the result.

As you supposed KB2956128 is the cause. Unfortunately has been replaced by a number of other KBs which I had to uninstall.

Hi,

KB2956128 is replaced by KB3055041, KB3054976, KB3054881, KB3015585, KB2965295 and KB2956203.

The issue disappeared after marked Remove in WSUS KB2956128 and additionally KB2956203, KB3054976, KB3054881, KB3015585, KB305041, KB2665295.
