I need part 2 of this topic and its not on the site ...can I just delete the container ? or what am I looking out for in the permission base check scan...Thanks I have deleted them from the All Address Lists container via adsiedit before and haven't had any problems. Before doing so you may want to try to reset permissions on the address list to the defaults. If you problem is related to permissions in AD it should reappear in the management console after doing so (you may have to restart your System Attendant services).

It's a permission issue you can't delete it until you grant yourself rights using dsacls.dsacls <object> /R Everyone the <object> is the dn of your object for exampleCN=Public Folders,CN=Folders Hierarchies,CN=first administrative group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN= etc Right click your rogue address list properties in adsiedit and get the dn.James Chong (MVP) MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
