i have/had 2 exchange servers in our organization exch2000 servr now is dead exchange2003 srvr working fine i have gone through all steps kb307917 up to inserting exchange 2000 cd andremoving services- i cannot do this because exch2000 is dead how do i fix this to clean up my domain can i just go into adsiedit and remove this server? it was a dc a well my goal is to clean up AD and upgrade to exch2007 -- REMOVE X from Xname AND Xdomain to reply directly STOP SPAM

Check at the ADSIEdit under the CN=Microsoft Exchange which placed under CN=Services for Exchange 2K server information and remove it manually.
