Decomm Public Folder server
Hi
We are running Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010.
Per site, we have a dedicated Exchange 2007 server for Public Folders (e.g. LON-EXCHPF1, LA-EXCHPF1, NY-EXCHPF1 etc).
We are moving to Exchange 2010 and would like to remove these Exchange 2007 PF servers. At the moment, we have Exchange 2010 PF servers in each site that have replicas of the PF's.
Does anyone know the best way (and safest) to decomm the 2007 PF servers once all users are on 2010 in that site?

Once you have created replicas on the E2K10 servers and replication has taken place, don't do anything yet.
Let things settle. Make sure everything is working fine.
Once that is established, you can remove the PF replicas from the E2K7 servers.
Once there are no replicas left on the E2K7 server, you can remove the PF database from this server.
Once you have done that (and any other pre-requisite tasks), you can uninstall Exchange from the E2K7 server.
This should provide more information on the process and the problems that most commonly arise:

In addition, please verify the mailbox database of Exchange 2010 server, make sure the public folder is pointting to the one resided in Exchange 2010 server.
Besides, keep the old Exchange 2007 server for a couple of weeks untill there is not any public folder related error reported by end users.
