Decommission 1st Exchange... Relay settings
If I decommission my 1st Exchange server do I need to copy things like relay settings over manually?
Also, do any of the following procedures need downtime or cause service interruption;
Rehome the Offline Address Book folder
Change the server that is responsible for generating the Offline Address List
Rehome the Schedule+ Free Busy folder
Rehome the Organization Forms folder
Rehome the Recipient Update Service
Designate another server to be the routing group master
Create another Site Replication Service (SRS) instance
Rehome connectors to another server
Thanks

You haven't said which version of Exchange, but usually those are per server settings so would need to be copied across.

Sorry, its Exchange 2003.
Is there anythign else that could be missed which will need to be copied...?
Obviously http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822931 isn't a complete overview of what needs to be done as it doesnt mention relays!

Hi Peter,
Yes, for the per server setting (like relay settings) you need to be copied manually.
Here is a document about remove the first Exchange Server 2003 within an administrative group, hope can give you some help:
