Additionally make sure that you have proper AD permission to remove the server object from AD.How to remove Exchange Server 2003 from your computerhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/833396 If you are not able to remove the Exchange server from ESM then remove it from AD with help of ADSIEdit.msc Go to Start, Run and write ADSIEdit.msc and hit OK button. Expand each of the following items: Configuration ContainerCN=Configuration, DC=Domain_Name,DC=comCN=ServicesCN=Microsoft Exchange CN=Your_Organization_NameCN=Administrative GroupsCN=Your_Administrative_Group_NameCN=Servers Right-click the Exchange 2003 server object, and then click Delete.
