Problem: Default Address Book changes depending on whether Outlook profiles use cached exchange mode or not. When profiles are set to use cached exchange mode, the default address book is set to "All Groups - mailboxname". When cached exchange mode is disabled, the default address book is set to "Global Address List - mailboxname". I would like it so that all users (using cached mode or not) get the GAL as their default address book. Any ideas? Enviornment: Exchange 2007 SP2, 3 MB Clusters, 2 CAS, 2 Public Folders Servers Address List: All Contacts, All Groups, All Rooms, All Users, Default Global Address List, Public Folders Offline Address List (name, generation server, Default OAB, Dist Mechanism): All Users, PFSVR01, False, PF & Web-Based; Default Offline Address List, PFSVR01, True, PF & Web-Based; Company_Users, PFSVR01, False, PF & Web-Based Default Offline Address List - Lists: All Contacts, All Groups, All Rooms, All Users, Public Folders Any help is appreciated!

Hi Barocky, Can you try Set-CASMailbox -Identity USERNAME -ShowGalAsDefaultView $true This wil set the view to the Gal as default. If that helps we can do a ps 1 liner to fix it for all your users. Try it and post back your findings. Thanks Ivan

Hi Ivan81, Unfortunately, the -ShowGalAsDefaultView does not seem to be a valid parameter when I run it from EMS. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, The command Set-CASMailbox –Identity USERNAME –ShowGalAsDefaultView $True is only applicable for Exchange 2010. By default, the GAL is displayed as default view to all users in Exchange 2007. Hope this helps. ThanksSophia Xu
