Hi, two days agoI configured the mailbox limits on our exchange 2003 mail store.During this process I had to set limits individually which all work ok.But I'm at the end of the process and I need to set default limits for all the mailboxes that don;t have individual limits set ietheir AD accounts are configured with the "Use mailbox store defaults".But for some reason even though I've configured the Mailbox Store limits the users who are exceeding the limits are not getting the warning message??Users who exceed the limits for accounts which are individually conmfigured get warning mesages ok.Its like exchange isn;t reading the default mailbox limits I've set (First admin group> Mail server> First storage group>proprties ofMailbox store> limits tab configured)Thanks

Hi, You should consider creating a Limit policy and Database policy under system Policies and attach the mailbox stores to it. set the limit policy to send warning messages at customized time and schedule the maintenance interval in Database policy. Hi, We can set storage size limit on Store or individual mailbox. If we tick Use Mailbox Store default, then it will use the settings that we have set on the store. Otherwise, the value which would be take effect is from the settings on mailbox. After we set the limitation, we have to restart Information Store. Also we can apply the hotfix 327378 to add Reread Logon Quotas Interval value to the registry where we can specify the reread logon quotas interval in seconds.
