Hello, I have a database where we have moved all mailboxes out to another database. I'm not sure if the database is too healthy, but wondered how to I get all that sapce back as it says the database is still 70GB, can I defrag it to reclaim that space? Plus if there is also a command to check the health that would be great. Thanks

You moved ALL the mailboxes from it? Its empty? If so, you could simply dismount it and delete the edb and log files associated with it and then remount to create a new, empty and very small store. What health items are you looking to check exactly?

It is part of a cluster, but I am told that defragging will get the spac back, I want to prove this on this database first as the other wil have users in and I know I can dismount this no live one first.

It will by why bother if its empty? You remove the replicas, and then you can do the steps I outlined before, then re-add the replicas to the other node (s) If you really want to do an offline defrag, remove the replicas, dismount the store, run the offline defrag, then re-add the replicas to the other nodes.

Hi, Sorry we are on SP3 rollup 4. I will look for that event log, how would I defrag the database in our cluster, I assume there must but some sort of order where we do the passive node first etc then the active? Thanks
