Delegates and Exchange 2007
Is there a way using only Exchange 2007 or shell and not EWS (because I have no idea how in the world I would start to use this) to find out who has access to the calendar / email or both? Also, anyway to tell when they were given access to email and/or the calendar? Steps I have taken. 1. Pulled a report using VBS getting ADSI info on which people in my company have delegates. 2. Tracked down the users to look at permissions in AD and Exchange. Neither tells me that they have suzy as a delegate and she can look at his calendar but not read his email. And I don't know when Suzy was granted this access. 3. Tried to pull up information using MFCMAPI which was ridiculously confusing as well. Any hints on which direction to take this? Is there a VB script I could run that would pull all delegate information on every user and what their permissions are? And the icing on the cake would be when that was granted. For bonus points I am also trying to figure out who deleted an email from my CEO's mailbox which has 3 people with delegate access. thank you in advance,

Is there a script? I don't know. Could such a script be written? Yes. All you need is a developer and cash.-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.". Ed, Certainly an interesting comment to post to my question. This was not really what I would expect from an MVP on an MS support forum. It appears you have stated the obvious. Why post? I wish there was a voting down button that I could say "vote as unhelpful". Please dont' bother replying unless you have something of value to add. fannonland

Is there a VB script I could run that would pull all delegate information on every user and what their permissions are? And the icing on the cake would be when that was granted. The closest I could find was a small script to ADD delegatepermissions. Using it as a starting point might be something to try,but since it's Exchange 2007 you'd be much more likely to succeedusing Web Services to do this.http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/30047868/script-to-add-delegates-t.aspxAsking this question in a developer forum might get you a betteranswer.>For bonus points I am also trying to figure out who deleted an email from my CEO's mailbox which has 3 people with delegate access. Good luck with that. If they had access to the mailbox the activitywasn't recorded. If the CEO has a mobile device it was probablyhimeself that nuked the message.
