Delete Icon is Missing from message list o365 pro plus

We have recently been testing our IT staff on o365 enterprise and now have reports of the delete message icon is gone from the message list.  So far the reports are from a Surface and Helix.  I did not find anything in the service updates.  Has anyone else heard reports? Could this only be related to this form factor?

Thanks,

Hi,

Are we talking about the delete message icon beside each message on the right side?

Please run Outlook in Safe Mode, to determine if it is 3rd-party add-ins related:

Press Win + R and type outlook.exe /safe in the blank box, then press Enter.

If theres no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.

Then you may also check if you can find that on other tablets since it may be by design.

Regards.

Melon, corect, the X next to each message that some folks are complaining about the placement.  This feature was functioning as normal until a few days ago.  We suspected it might be a service update but I will check your solution and report back.

Thank you,

We have tested this suggestion and have the same results in safe mode.  The icon is just gone however comparing to his desktop all machines have the same add-ins.  Would there be any win8 updates for tablets only that could affect this behavior?

Answer:

This is based on form factor, or in this case touch vs mouse options.

It seems that a recent update to the 365 Pro Plus client must have tripped that setting and flipped it to "touch" if you were on a touch device.  I found the setting and sure enough just needed to set it back to mouse and I am in business.

Where do you find the option to change this setting back to mouse?
