Delete message from queue - can't find the queue
Hello all, My situation is this: I noticed internet being really slow, found something was using all my uploading bandwidth which was bringing my Internet speeds to a crawl. Through process of elimination I found it it is our exchange 2003 server. Someone tried to send an email with a really large attachment that is not being accepted by the recipient and my exchange server is trying over and over again to send it. I had this happen once before. I originally checked my queues to see if Exchange was the culprit. Weird thing is, I checked several times and did not see any thing in the queues. Eventually a queue showed up for my smtp connector that was trying to send to Yahoo. This had the message with the large attachment in it. I opened the queue up (Find Messages) to see the properties of the message (who sent, time, recipient, etc) and dumbly closed it out when I was done and refreshed the view on my queues in ESM. Now that queue is gone again, but I know exchange is still trying to send it because my upload is still being saturated. How can I delete this message from being sent? Exchange 2003 SP2 on Windows 2003 Std Thanks!

Perhaps try restarting the SMTP service to see if the queue is re-created immediately.Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP
