Deleted Calendar with No Retention Policys in place
Hi
I have an SBS 2003 server running Exchange Fully patched.
Calendar items are auto deleted from march 08 and before for multiple users. The problem is that Outlook 2003/2007 have archiving turned off. Further to this no exchange policy is in place to delete these items that I can see.
Any help would be great?
Thanks
Neil

Hi,
I understand that the calendar has been deleted dumbly without any manual work.
You mentioned the Autoarchive already was cut off. In order to ensure there is no anything was lost, please take the following steps to check again.
I would like you to check if any of your users has enabled Auto Archive in Outlook. Go to Outlook > Tools > Options > Other > Auto Archive. Is this enabled? If enabled, old items might be deleted. If Auto Archive is not enabled at the place mentioned above, please right click on the Calendar folder in Outlook and choose Properties. Choose Auto Archive and check the folder level setting. Is it enabled?
If not enabled, please go to Exchange server, open Exchange System Manager > Recipients > Recipient Policies. Check all the recipient policies you have. Right click on them and choose Properties. Is there any recipient policy with Mailbox Manager Settings (policy) enabled? If there is, please check the settings. We can use Mailbox Manager policy to auto delete items stored in the mailboxes on the Exchange server.
Thanks
Allen
