Where do you see the mailbox of deleted user account? It must be in Disconnected Mailboxes, if you don't see it there then run Clean-MailboxDatabase cmdlet... Cant see Deleted Mailbox in Disconnected Mailbox under Recipient Configuration http://exchangeshare.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/cant-see-deleted-mailbox-in-disconnected-mailbox-under-recipient-configuration/ It will remain in Disconnected Mailboxes until 30 days (as per "Keep Deleted Mailbox" settings in Mailbox Database Properties) and then will be deleted automatically.
