Deleting emails based on schedule
I have configured a recipient policy and applied to all users in the organization (approx 250). The policy is set to Delete email older than 180 days from the Inbox, Sent Items, and All Other Folders. For one user (only one I'm aware of currently), the Sent Items are deleting like they should, however not every Inbox item is being deleted according to the defined criteria. I have tried deleting and recreating the policy multiple times and the same thing appears to be holding true. The one thing I haven't tried is manually deleting the messages from the users Inbox to see if there is a particular message(s) that might be preventing the items from being deleted. Seems rather odd that would be the case but I'm up for anything right.Mailbox maintenance is scheduled to run on a nightly basis.

That's what the mailboxmanagement policy uses.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP
