Deleting emails from Folder Automaticaly - HELP
Hi,
I have an Exchange Server 2007 and I would like to know how can I automaticaly delete emails that are in Junk Mail Folder for 30 days.
I have created a Manage Content Settings in Junk Mail with that time limit but the emails remain in the Junk Mail folder.
If anyone can help me I appreciate.
Thanks for now.

You can create MRM Policy to fix it.

Did you choose "When item is moved to the folder"?
If you did, than change it to "When delivered"
You also need to create a Managed Folder Mailbox Policy and assign it to the mailboxes, if you haven't done so already.Martina Miskovic

Hi Gulab,
I follow the article but the messages remain in Junk Mail folder.
Must I run another command or do anything else?
The steps made are:
1. Created Managed Content Settings for Junk Mail folder (with When delivered.... option selected like Martina told me to do)
2. Created Managed Folder mailbox policy to include the three folders
3. Assigned the policy to test users -------What do you think it is the problem? Thanks

And mails are not getting deleted? Did you check the user Mailbox Properties if the policy is applied on it?Gulab Prasad,

Hi Gulab,
I ran and in Server Properties, in Messaging Records Management I schedule the maintence to run each 15 minutes.
I did not create a Custom Folder, I used the Junk E-Mail folder.
In event viewer, there is no error e Exchange Assitants is running.
Thanks.
