Delievery Restriction Issue
hi everyone,
i am facing issue in regarding delievery restriction of user as well as groups.i am able to restrict the domain users account to send mail to other domain users and group, but when i create mail enabled contact for the external email ID, it is not working,
still i am receiving mail from that external ID. also i can see the that contact DN in unauthorig attribute, but it bypass this
i also configured the restrict users to send mail to external domain, it is working fine.
Environment Exchange 2003
if you have the article of Delivery restriction architecture or some one has face the same problem please share with me

Hi Jeevan,
This is required of only one user, i.e. all internet except 1 user form internal should be restricted to sending mail to a DLRipu Daman Mina | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging

hi,
i already create the mail enabled contact and assign this mail enabled contact under user setting in from everyone except.
but still we are getting mails from that contact, this is very strange problem , i dont know this is any bug or something wrong in exchange

If you're receiving e-mail FROM the contact t must be coming from
outside your Exchange organization. That typically means that it's
delivered with SMTP and, unless you're very different to every other
company, thoe SMTP sessions are from anonymous sources.
If you don't want to receive anonymouse messages, set the delivery
restrictions to accept messages only from authenticated users.

hi,
if i set it to authenticated users, then no one from external world send mail to that user ID,but i want to restrict only to one external ID not for everyone

Your original question was about *receiving* mail *from* an address
that also appears as a targetAddress in a mail-enabled Contact in your
AD.
If you don't want to *receive* e-mail from that address then put the
address into the sender filter.
If your issue is different to what you originally asked about, please
restate you question.
