Hi,Does this user have 2 seperate mailboxes or 1 mailbox with two addresses ?If the first is the case you need to give the user "send as" rights, this can be performed by right clicking the mailbox and select the option "Manage send as".http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998291.aspxFor the other case I think the only option is to create two seperate mailboxes.Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

Hi Johan,The User has 1 mailbox with two adresses. When he wants to send an internal email to the company or some clients,he wants to use for ex. jj@tlmk.com and when he sends emails to other client he wants to usej-jplo@tlmk.com.The user is able to choose the email address he wants to use from the "From" field.Regarding your answer, how would you create a seperate mailbox? Just adding another account? Thanks,G

Graig,Just create another user with the other mail address you like. After this ensure that the user has the correct permissions and add the extra mailbox to Outlook.Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

Hi Graig,Yes, workaround for this situation is create a new mailbox and assign second SMTP address to that mailbox and give Send-As permission to the user so that he/she can send from that SMTP address wherever requires by selecting From field. It also depends on which type of Exchange CALs you are using in your organization. If you use per-user CAL then you need an extra CAL for new mailbox which you create for secondary smtp address as a workaround.I'd ask user to use some third-party utility(like ChooseFrom) with his/hersingle mailbox so that cost goes to their or their departmental bucket... ;)http://www.ivasoft.biz/choosefrom2007.shtmlExchange 2007 Licensing FAQ: http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/howtobuy/licensingfaq.mspxAmit Tank || MVP - Exchange || MCITP - Exchange 2007 || http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
