Recently bought a Dell 1520 and when I connect my RJ-45 cable from my cable modem to the laptop the light at the connection point on the laptop remains orange, yet when I plug the same cable into my existing laptop the light is green. Any ideas what the problem could be? All I want to do is connect my cable modem to the laptop so I can connect to the internet.

Hi, This is an exchange server news group - very little to do with Dell laptops. You need to load the drivers for the missingnetwork cardand if that doesn't work talk to Dell to get a solution. Leif
