Differnet address in the FROM field
Help please....
I have a user that is receiving e-mail that is mail forwarded from another account. It is remotehost@thierdomain.com.That address is pointing to our Exchange server and I put this address in hisDefault Mail Policy, so he is receiving them. However, when he responds to thesemessages, he would like for the remotehost@thierdomain.com account to show in the FROM field as opposedto his actual myuser@ourdomain.com adress. Right now when he responds it gives him an error message that says he does not have permission to send to that says....
You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.

Thanks in advance for any help I can get on this.

Users can only send FROM their default/primary SMTP address. The only ways to allow a user to send from a different address would be
1. Setup another account/public folder with that address
2. Use a 3rd party tool ( i think GFI mail essentials can do it)

Thanks for the response.
How would I create a user account with the different domain in my domain?
Thanks again.

As long as you have the domain defined inrecpient policyor accepted domains (depending on exchange version), just edit the email address in ADUC.
